OLISEH TAKES OVER SUPER EAGLE

Sunday Oliseh formally take over the vacant job of Chief Coach of the Super Eagles, The new National Team Coach was offered 3-year contract reportedly worth ₦5million per month, a position previously occupied by his former teammate, Stephen keshi.
Keshi’s appointment was terminated by the Federation on July 4. His exit paved way for the Federation to fill the position.
A peep into his curriculum vitae, revealed that as a player, he commenced his professional career as a defensive midfielder with Julius Berger FC of lagos between 1989 and 1990.
The 40-year-old defender and former Super Eagles Skipper also played for AFC Ajax, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus FC. He scored two goals during his 54 international caps for the Eagles, with 321 appearances for his various clubs.

Oliseh is mainly remembered for scoring the winning goal against Spain in the France 1998. Oliseh was a member of the Olympic Games gold medal winning team in the soccer event in Atlanta Olympic Game tagged Atlanta ’96.
