Since the announcement of General Muhammadu Buhari as
the winner of presidential election, APC stewards has been celebrating their victory, red
carpet was rolled at the National secretariat of All Progressive Congress(APC)
and party chieftains came from across the country to felicitate with the
president-elect on his victory.
Nigerians propelled the change of government through
their voting power because Nigerians are tired of failed promises and inability
of PDP led government to address unemployment, corruption, decayed of infrastructures and
insecurity. PDP led government failed to listen to the yearning of the masses
but keep enriching the high class in the expense of the masses.
The voting pattern across the country may take sectionalism,
religion and region but the real fact is that Nigerians want change and they
voted for change, at least the voting pattern in North central showed clearly
Nigerians want change, APC won overwhelmingly in a region where they only
control Nassarawa state before defection of Kwara state governor. APC have
landslide victory in a state like Benue,Kogi and Niger state in all the
category of elections conducted (Presidential, national assembly, gubernatorial
and house of assembly elections) these are the states control by PDP but their
governors failed to deliver dividend of democracy, they failed woefully,
Workers has suffered unpaid salaries in Benue state while in Kogi and Niger
state the people are not feeling the impact of governance. But
reverse is the case in the state like Nassarawa, Imo and Gombe states where state government have done
wonderfully well and that is why they have been reelected for second term.
The APC should stop attributing victory to themselves
and their party chieftains, APC served as the plat form in which change is been
achieved but is Nigerians that actually yearn for change because of the undoing
of PDP led administration.
General Muhammadu Buhari and APC led administration
should deliver on their promises or else Nigerians with their PVC will still
yearn for change after four years.
pls dnt fail us.
